Autumn vibes, cinema architecture and English cheese
The cosy theme from last week continues! I had more warming soup, this time with some fresh bread, and I'm planning new knitting projects π Here's what else I've been up to.
ποΈ South Australia's History Festival began today! I got in early and went to see an exhibition on cinema architecture presented by UniSA's architecture museum. I learnt about the differences between Art Deco and Moderne architecture and enjoyed the insight into the social history of cinema in South Australia.
π We had a pizza and film night at home, trying some new topping combinations from a favourite local pizza place. The movie was a French film called The Art Dealer.
π§ In a belated nod to St Georgeβs Day, English cheeses featured in this weekβs Friday Night Nibbles, matched with cranberry and pear crackers. I also found some macadamias seasoned with saltbush and threw in some fig and fennel paste for good measure.
π Iβm enjoying the autumn vibes at the moment, snapping one of many examples of brilliant autumn leaves during my travels.
π₯ With a busy stretch at work underway, I need to get up a bit earlier and, not being a morning person, I'm looking for some extra motivation. So one day this week I walked to the Queen Victoria Market before work and bought fresh bread. As well as getting in some extra exercise, it was nice to come back after a long day to the smell of fresh bread.
Hopefully I'll manage to squeeze in some more fun things to share with you next week. Until then, I hope you have a lovely week!
