Barn owls, a painted garden and small nourishments
This week I've been looking for ways to add more nourishing fun things to my week, even if they're small.
π΄ For Saturday brunch I made zucchini and haloumi fritters. They were quite satisfying and we decided we should make them more often. Perhaps they'll become a regular on our brunch menu.
π On my art desk calendar during the week there was Pierre Bonnard's Garden, which reminded me of the exhibition of his work that I saw last year.
π¦ A short read this week was Sally Coulthard's The Book of the Barn Owl. I'm loving the short books to help me reach my reading target for the year!
π€Έπ»ββοΈ In need of some nourishing movement, I tried a couple of new yoga classes. I even managed to squeeze in a short lunchtime class. It was a nice way to break up a busy day.
πΊ Another way I've been relaxing this week is short, funny shows. I've watched a few episodes of QI, including the one on nonsense. I'm also rewatching favourite episodes of Fisk (which is pretty much every episode). I wasn't sure if I'd find them as funny the second time, but I actually really enjoyed them and there are so many talented people in and working on the show.
That's it for this week. If, like me, you're getting a long weekend this weekend, I hope you have some extra time for fun things π
Thanks for reading!
